Hard Aggregate (Garnet) Washplant

SlurryPro is chosen for a new garnet and rutile mine in the harsh fjords of Norway

Working through our Norwegian Distributor, the brief was to specify, design and build the pumping system.

Background
A large deposit of high-grade hard crystalline mineral was discovered among the fjords of Norway.

Due to the abrasive nature of the extractives, 40+ SlurryPro centrifugal pumps were chosen as the mainstay for the aggregate wash plant's process water.  LSM pumps were also part of the solution (see below).

This helped Atlantic Pumps' Norwegian distributor, a specialist bulk aggregate engineering firm win the contract to build the entire processing plant.

Solution
Atlantic Pumps was given the brief to design and construct the process water system. Working closely with the main contractor and end-user was key to a smooth installation and ongoing operational excellence. In addition to SlurryPro and LSM pumps, several other types were used as best suited for the specific application.

Commissioning, staff training, and on-going after-sales support is being provided.
